When a family learns of a new diagnosis of a bleeding disorder there are a myriad of concerns and issues to be addressed.

The OHF can help with it's "First Steps" program.

In cooperation with the National Hemophilia Foundation, the OHF is working to develop the First Steps program to assist families with new diagnosis of a bleeding disorder.

The purpose of First Steps is two fold:

First, to help new families become comfortable and able to cope with the diagnosis of having a bleeding disorder.

Second, to better prepare each family to be prepared to take care of each patient when a major disaster occurs.

If you know someone who may benefit from this program please contact the OHF and ask about the First Steps support group.
